- Fish hook earring hooks with jump rings (or with separate jump rings).

Pattern Abbreviations
Note: This pattern uses US crochet terminology. If you are more familiar with UK terminology, remember that a single crochet in the US is equivalent to a double crochet in the UK, etc.
Make sure you are familiar with the following stitches and abbreviations:
Chain – ch
Slip stitch – sl st
Single crochet – sc
Half-double crochet – hdc
Double crochet – dc
Triple (treble) crochet – tr
Star Pattern (make 2):
- Start with a magic ring (an adjustable loop).
- Round 1: Chain 3 and make 14 double crochet stitches into the magic ring. Pull the tail of the magic ring to close the circle. Sl st into the top of the ch 3 that you started the round with to close the round.
- Round 2: *Chain 6, sc into 3rd ch down from the hook, hdc in next ch down, dc in next ch down, tr in last chain, skip 2 stitches (on round), sl st into next stitch*. Repeat from * to * 4 more times until you have 5 points for the star. Sl st into 3rd stitch after the last point you crocheted, ch 1, cut off yarn and pull through to fasten off.
- Weave in the ends on the back side of the star.
Assembly
- Attach a jump ring to one of the star points. Make sure the jump ring is securely closed.
- Connect the earring hook to the jump ring.
- Repeat the same process for the second earring.
- Ensure that both earrings are attached symmetrically to the earring hooks.
- Give your earrings a final inspection to make sure all knots and ends are neatly hidden.
- Now your beautiful crocheted star-shaped earrings are ready to shine!
